Master Resale Rights - The Basics

If you've been surfing the web in search of ideas for making money online, then you may have come across the idea of selling products with Master Resale Rights (MRR).

So what exactly is this - and how does it work?

in a nutshell, if you own master resale rights to a product (a piece of software, a video tutorial, an e-book, or whatever), it means you can resell that product from your website (or blog) and keep the profits from each sale you make.

There are lots of products with master resale rights available online -- and they cover a broad range of niches (although a majority are focused on the internet marketing niche)f. Just run a search on Google for something like "resale rights" and you'll find lots of them.

Once you've secured the resale rights to the right product, what happens next? How do you go about selling it?

Here, briefly, are the steps involved...

Step 1) The first thing you'll need is a website (or a blog) to sell from. While you can use a free hosting/blogging service if you want, you'll definitely come across as more professional if you own your own first-level domain name -- especially if the domain name is related to the product you want to sell. There's no shortage of cheap hosting (and domain name) packages available, so don't let this hold you back. (One good one is Mister.net that offers hosting plus domain name for $35/year.)

Step 2) The product you're selling will come with its own sales website. All you need to do is make a few small changes to the sales page (and the download page) before you send them online.

On the sales page, you just need to change the contact details and you need to add your own order link (or button).

While the idea of setting up the ordering and delivery process might sound scary, it's actually easier than you might think...

All you need to do is open an account with a 3rd-party payment processor like PayPal (free) or ClickBank ($50 start-up fee). Once you've done that, hey'll provide you with the piece of HTML you to add to the order page in order to accept payments -- and automatically deliver the product.

On the 'thank you' page, all you need to do is insert the download link so that your customers can automatically download the product once they've completed the payment. (In the 'Need More Detail?' section below, you'll find access to a tutorial that will help you with this.)

Step 3) Upload the sales and download pages to your website and you're ready to go.

That's just about all there is to it! Your resale rights product is now ready to start selling!

First time around, this might seem quite difficult, but once you've done it a first time, you'll find that it's actually quite easy.

Okay, I think that covers it. Now, all you have to do is go out there and find the right MRR product for you -- and get started selling!
